How does a WÖHR retractable garage work – and what can you do with it?

The WÖHR retractable garage (Parklift 461 and 462) parks vehicles out of sight in the floor.
 
The car is parked on one of the ‘underground’ levels whilst raised, and is then lowered vertically. When required, the system raises the vehicle back up again smoothly and safely.
A particular advantage is the customisable cover slab: it can be landscaped, paved or used as a terrace, driveway or courtyard area.
This keeps the parking space out of sight, whilst the surface remains available for architectural and landscape design.
