In July, the Friolzheim company WÖHR, worldwide popular specialist in park lifts, combi-lifts, park-safes, multi-parkers, and bicycle car parks, has carried out a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination programme at its company premises in Ölgrabenstraße. A total of 51 employees and family members received the sought-after jab with the mRNA vaccine from BioNTech, which was administered by the company doctor. WÖHR HR Manager Barbara Riede was extremely satisfied with the success of the campaign: “The employees’ responses to our offering were enthusiastic throughout. Vaccination at work saves trips and effort to make the necessary arrangements elsewhere. We even had staff from our Munich branch come here to get the vaccination. We hope that with our programme we are able to contribute to a speedy end of the pandemic.”
Where ordinarily staff are working on innovative parking solutions, the organisational team at WÖHR has built a small vaccination lane. A room for the rest period after the vaccination with drinks and buttered pretzels was also a must. Barbara Riede: “WÖHR supports its staff with numerous opportunities to stay fit and healthy. This vaccination programme is just one facet of many.”
The IAA trade fair, for the first time with a major focus on future mobility, will take place in Munich from September 7th to 12th, 2021. WÖHR will present itself as one of the exhibitors for intelligent parking on the grounds of Messe München. For the first time in the new format, the IAA Mobility stands next to vehicles and mobility, above all for the exchange between experts and industry, the connection between automobiles and smart devices, but mainly for the meeting between exhibitors and customers.

People are crowding into the towns. With the increasing urbanisation and concentration of the “town habitat”, large amounts of CO2 are emitted on a daily basis. A medium-sized car with a diesel engine which is inching through inner-city streets for about an hour in the morning, generates around 400 grammes of CO2 emission.
The percentage of electric vehicles compared to vehicles with combustion engines is still low. To increase the number of electric cars, the federal government in Germany would like to see seven to ten million electric cars on the roads by 2030. Other countries, such as Norway, want to ban the sale of new vehicles powered by petrol and diesel from 2025 in favour of electric cars.
